Supermarket giants ASDA will enter the mortgage market by the end of the year after teaming up with mortgage brokers, London and Country.
Tesco Financial Services are already an established name in the mortgage market and ASDA hope to be able to compete with them over the long term.
Gev Lynott, director of new business for the group commented, "We are in a tender process with three brokers . We want to give customers access to the whole market."
He added, "We would like to offer a one-stop shop for a good deal on everything by the end of the year, although there is no launch date yet."
