Co-Op axes two year mortgages

Mortgage providers the Co-operative Bank have decided to drop all of their two year mortgages as they admit demand has outstripped supply.

With many consumers looking to weather the storm of the credit crunch and tie themselves into a short term deal, most providers seem to be taking them off the shelves.

The Co-Op defended their decision, commenting, "Our commitment to the mortgage market and our customers is underpinned by a strong funding model and a market leading brand position in terms of customer service and ethics."
