Government should ease repayment problems

UK consumers experiencing mortgage repayment problems might soon be given tax relief from the government in a bid to ease their financial problems.

The NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) has told the government that they must step in to help those struggling the most with mortgage repayments and tax relief is one thing they can do.

A spokesman for the group commented, "The NAEA is calling on the chancellor and prime minister to consider other options to give people a break such as a stamp duty holiday for first time buyers and temporary tax relief on the mortgage interest of people's primary residence."
