Less consumers will experience repayment problems

Less people in the UK will be experiencing mortgage repayment problems in 2008 according to a number of market analysts.

The reason behind these strong statements, is the fact that house prices are set to hold for the first time in nearly a decade.

The market has slowed significantly in the tail end of 2007, with less people taking the plunge and getting on to the property ladder with a hefty mortgage.

Nationwide have reported that house prices will freeze in 2008, meaning the base rate could potentially fall at some point in the year. This would potentially bring lower repayments to many consumers who are currently struggling with mortgage debt.
