Mortgage providers First Direct and the Coventry Building Society have taken the LEX (Lendng Excellence) awards for their customer service.
The groups won the best specialist lender and best high street lender awards respectively.
The awards are given out based on the findings of a poll of 8,000 consumers who are asked about their mortgage buying experience from start to finish.
Coventry overcame last years winners Nationwide to scoop the award and have been noted for raising the bar in the high street sector.
First Direct scored well when consumers were asked if they would recommend them, with 70% replying in the positive.
